Delete Your Waypoint Account

You can request deletion of your Waypoint account and the personal data associated with it at any time.

Request deletion by email

  1. Email support@waypointlanguage.com from the email address associated with your Waypoint account.
  2. Use the subject line Waypoint account deletion request.
  3. In the message, confirm that you want your Waypoint account and associated personal data deleted.
  4. We may ask you to verify that you control the account before processing the request.

If you can no longer access the email address associated with your account, explain that in your request. We will ask for other information to verify account ownership.

We will confirm receipt of your request and complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. If we cannot complete the request, we will explain why.

After verification, we delete or de-identify the account information and learner data associated with your account, including:

What may be retained

Some information may be retained when required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes. After deletion from active systems, records can remain temporarily in access-restricted recovery copies: up to 7 days in database point-in-time recovery history, up to 3 days in scheduled database backups, and up to 7 days for deleted cloud-storage objects. Other encrypted backup copies may persist for up to 90 days before they are overwritten.

Minimized application and service logs are retained for up to 30 days. Required administrator and system-event audit logs are retained by Google Cloud for 400 days and cannot be deleted early as part of an individual account-deletion request. These recovery and audit records are not used to personalize the Service or for advertising. Aggregated or de-identified information that can no longer identify you may also be retained.

We retain a permanent one-way hash of the deleted authentication identifier solely to prevent an old session from recreating the deleted account. It does not contain your email, profile, or learning data. Billing, transaction anti-replay, support, and deletion-audit records that must remain are stripped of direct account identifiers and retained only in minimized form.

Deleting your Waypoint account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel any active subscription through the store where you purchased it.
